RS4 alu mirrors on an S4

Anyone know if it is possible to fit the RS4 aluminium mirrors on an S4, and if so are any mods required ? [img]images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

I would like to fit alu mirrors and rails, but the S4 mirrors are polished whilst the only rails available are either black (got em) or satin (a'la RS4 and matching the RS4 mirrors). I suspect polished mirrors and satin rails may look odd, and it is a lot of money to just try it [img]images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

I spoke to Martyn at VAG Parts and he could not find anything about polished rails to go with polished mirrors, and he did not know anyone that had tried RS4 mirrors on an S4. He recommended posting the question here...

I would be very surprised if they are different, however surely you can confirm it by asking for the part numbers of mirrors for the S4 and RS4?

Im not 100% sure on this but im pretty sure somebody in the past had his S3 Aluminium mirror`s professionally sand blasted to give them a matt efect just like the RS mirrors! [img]images/graemlins/thumbs.gif[/img] [img]images/graemlins/tung2.gif[/img]

RS4 mirrors and rails should fit. I have seen an A4 Avant with the RS4 mirrors and rails. I also know someone who has the RS4 mirror housings on his S4 sedan. They should definitely fit.
