Don't know how many have had to do this.. but I was a Window Motor relay virgin!

In case you didn't understand the above. You press the window down and it doesn't do anything but click at you. Plus the door is very warm by this point cause the motor is working overtime to go UP!

Anyway.. I've tried to post pics but keep getting errors so if the pics are in the wrong order I'm sorry. Just flick though the pics at the bottom of the post and you'll get the idea.

1. Take the screws out either side of door
2. Remove screw from side of "hoop" of door handle
3. pull downward on door handle hoop
4. remove 2 panel holding screws
5. push up door panel to remove
6. rest panel on "carpet" or soft surface/carefull not to scratch panel
7. remove 3 holding bolts on motor
8. remove power to motor
9. motor may still have torque on gear for window so could be hard to pull away. the way i moved it was by pulling and pushing a little on the window.
10. replace motor or as i did take relay pcb out and blow with air can
11. put motor/relay back / replace 3 screws
12. put base of door panel back.. note BASE 1st.
13. align door lock/push button and ease panel upwards
14. check door fitment hooks from side/end of door 1st b4 inner door
15. align inner door hooks and push down/carefully
16. replace screws on outer left and right
17. replace screws on holding near inner door handle
18. push door handle "hoop" in top first and then push from base until click
19. replace last screw
20. giggle to yourself and realise Audi charge £90/hr for this crap!

Any questions PM me .. this is the easy stuff and my 2p worth to this excellent forum!

Also managed to repair door handle while all this was off as the spring had given up. You just uncoil spring about a cm and coil back with pliers and longnose to recreate spring again.

Thx to all who have helped me in the last couple of days!
:D
