Different turbos' to an S4

Post by BRETTCOLLINS » Tue Apr 15, 2003 9:10 pm

The only upgrade I can find for the bi-turbo s4 is with K04 turbo's from an RS4, Anyone seen an audi with Garrett t25 or t28 roller bearing turbo's.

Yea, I saw a ball bearing turbo kit that is supposed to come out in 2004, I can't remember where I saw it though Too bad too...they were saying 500 hp. Trying looking around on AW for it

After that, try these guys here

And good luck

didn't see any kits to buy, but AWE-tuning had tried to fit gt28's into Silverbullet. read here

fitting bigger turbos requires relocations of the chargers, otherwise theres not enough space....

I've got some more pictures of Silverbullet than there is on AWE page
you want it?

Speaking of Blitz bullet, why aren't there and FMIC kits out for the S? I know they make them for the A4, why can't we get them? Yea i was looking at getting those liquid ICs.

I guess problem is FMIC requires more mods than
in a A4, as S4s got two turbos, one intake...
see at Blitz, he's got completely different intake pipe
as he's got 2 inlets, 1 outlet...
try to make a IC with 2 inlets and 2 outlets.. ofcourse it can be done, but requires a lot of piping work... which has a influence on pressure drop...

What's more, FMIC isn't much bigger than 2 RS4 IC's, which are great, and would (I guess) cause more pressure drop.

Basically because there isn't room to put one. I had Forge spend 2 days taking the front of my S4 to pieces so they could design a FMIC. At the end they declared there just wasn't enough space behind the bumper to fit a decent sized intercooler, without doing some major hacking about. The AWE cars both have RS4 style bumpers so they've got room.
