When does the fever pass?
RE: Re: RE: Re: When does the fever pass?
Clive - while I appreciate you are wanting to keep the good name of RS246 in tact - I am pretty sure the gents on RS246 all enjoy enthusiastic driving and do so in as safe a manner as possible. We wouldnt be driving/modding S & RS models otherwise.
Perhaps Crusty's wording could have been better but I think he was just trying to show his level of excitement rather than wrecklessness!
My comment of "driving within the limits of the law" was to try and cool down the potential heated debate that could start from all of this. And now it is being used to fuel things futher.

I'm totally with the spirit of your comments and of course share the enthusiasm of fellow S/RS owners. Enough said.ZeroK66 wrote:Clive - while I appreciate you are wanting to keep the good name of RS246 in tact - I am pretty sure the gents on RS246 all enjoy enthusiastic driving and do so in as safe a manner as possible. Lets move on, shall we...?

On the original thread.....does the fever ever go away? Sure we drive slower, but get someone in a normal car to try and follow when we are driving "normally", they struggle to keep up.
I personally think it is a testament to the car and its abilities that I can drive it every day (normally 200miles a day) and still have it pull a big smile at a flex of the right foot or stamp of the brakes. For 4 years the car never failed to excite and instill that feeling...
I know she has faults but I am not convinced the fever will ever go entirely

I didn't think it was a fever. isn't it just part and parcel of the whole experience of owning an S4. it's the way the car rewards you for the expense it causes you. the pleasure/pain thing?
