Got the car intime and went up to visit them on Saturday - my brother lives in the area - very handy.
Got in there about 9:45 and Doug had a good look over the car checking for error codes (clear) and then looked at all the weak points on the engine.
First point was to check for boost leaks. All clear - good
Next was to check the diverter valves - first fine, second buggered (Explains lag on gear change and high pitch whistle on gear change when pushing it). These were replaced with 710n's - lovely.
Finally I went for a spin up the road with Minhea - he said looks like I have an MTM chip in the car and a miltek 3" single catback. At WOT the MAF was reading 210... quite a bit down for a chipped car. He immediately said the MAF had failed. Back to the workshop, 10 mins later we were out on the road again with a new MAF in there and I then got a reading of 257 - good for 305-310HP. Happy with that

All in all quick, painless and a pleasant experience. Thanks to you both - and I would recommend a trip up there for anyone who has not had an enthusiast check over your 2.7t! My car now boosts evenly and pulls silky smooth through past 6k, comes on boost sooner it feels and much less lag on gear changes. All for 30-40mins work - NICE!
Cheers,
Leon
