Meguiar's wheel brush

Post by wrekka » Mon Oct 01, 2012 9:02 pm

Only used the meguiar's wheel brush 3 times. Thought it worked quite well until it just snapped! It was very bendy at best but did get into the rs4 wheels well. Do not want to buy another as obviously not robust. Anyone recommend anything else?
cheers

Yeah go to clean your car, there's a blue jobby, same thing but much better, softer bristles too. It's about twenty quid though.

I've used EZ Detail brushes, highly recommend them.

Another alternative I've heard are quite good are these if you can get past the price: http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog ... -cat4.html

I have the big one of these and it's great. Looked into the Woolies in the link above but gave in at the price.

for what you spend on the large EZ Detail brush (which has a good temperament but has been known to snap) you may as well spend a further £20ish and get some wheel woolies....

awaiting picture but you get 3 http://www.shinearama.co.uk/product.php ... -WOOLIES-3

I've used the 'Bottle Brush' which I used to use when cleaning my daughter's feeding bottles with.

Only cost a pound or two from mothercare or the like and have soft bristles.

I haven't seen any ill-effects of using this brush - no visible swirls or scratches, but my wheels are beyond their best anyway and long overdue a re-furb!

Spray on a bit of Bilberry wheel cleaner, agitate with the brush and then pressure-washer rinse. Job done!

Received the brushes seem very good. The large one is too big to be honest but the medium brush fits nicely between the spokes of the rs4. Small one is good too. Just a bit pricey hopefully they will be durable!

Do any of them fit between the caliper and wheel?

The medium wheel woollie fits between front caliper and wheel. Also the ebst between the split spokes. The large one is great for cleaning inner rim, smaller one for wheel nit holes and caliper. Best brush I have bought by far and very durable. I don't mind the price as I went though 3 CG Gerbils in 5 months which cost as much so if these last 6+ months jobs and good 'un
