Very very happy with the results. Highly-recommended if you're in the West Mids.

Damn, your car looks stunning. Definitely going to need to get mine booked in there, as they're not too far from me at all.

Looking really good. I know prices are a touchy subject, but it would be nice to start to build an idea of what these high quality details cost.

I would suggest that for 5 days it was a full Correction Detail....that is a long time for this size of car so the actual quality would be as expected and as is shown but price wise....I would hint at a guess of in excess of £700 quid....I know for a full 5 day detail thats what I would be looking at but in truth it was a heck of a long time....

A typical 4 for me would take around 20hrs for a 2 stage machine but for a full correction wouldnt have thought more than 4 days unless of course the client suggests that a full week should be spent on it....I will post an RS 6 up that was done in the time i stated above....

I spent a full week on PhilT's 4 and 6....with results Phil will describe i am sure....

It does look well though mate....

Phil we need to talk....

From what I've seen you seem reasonably proficient with a machine polisher & no doubt your customers are happy with the work you do, but I don't think you can compare your best efforts with these guys or any other premises-based detailer. There's so much they can do that you can't being mobile.

As for the time taken, in my mind if it needs it - it should get it plain & simple. See here - http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 29#p493029

I'd have to agree. From the few details I've seen, this has to rank up there with the best of 'em

You havent seen my best yet bud....but I havent really said that I am better than anyone else...yeah I would love a unit as you are in a controlled environment and agreed thats the big difference.... but whats the point in a unit when i would very rarely be in it....last yr I must have done 3 jobs in Sheffield or surrounding(with the exception of PhilT's)....no point paying between 6-10k plus all the additionals for very little use IMO....

and you will be surprised what a mobile detailer can offer....after all some of the detailers out there with premises have turned some real shoddy work out....and i mean real shoddy...heck i have put a couple right....

Ooh I would love to be able to mention them....regarding time I fully understand how long it takes and i am not knocking it....if the client and car deserves then that time gets spent on it....I spent 80 on a Capri 3.0s a yr or so ago and know exactly how time consuming this job is....

But like i said the car looks mint mate and I would never knock a detailer who spends the time to get it right....now the ones that say they did a full correction with added wet sand in 10hrs is a different story.....the minimum I spend on jobs these days is 16-20hrs....that may reduce slightly if the cars are smaller but its not very often I do anything less than an A4, M3 or Range Rover sized vehicle....but again time is all down to cost and what the client wants to spend....that was my main point....

Cracking job. You are obviously very pleased, and rightfully so, with the result. Just shows how good professional detailers are at bringing a car back up to that standard.

Russ,
Any links to the Capri??
