Whats the best method to clean break disc bells?

Whats the best way/method/product to clean the rear break disc bells on the RS4, tried a few products with no results.

Ignore the spacer in the pic.

I used a grinder with wire brush attachment. Came out with a nice chrome like shine.

I'd just repaint if it were me; I think that's the easiest option

Btw have your spacers siezed on the hub?

Thanks for replies guys, will the buffing it out.

Nope spacer not seized, there hubcentric so sit on the ridge of the main hub.

Mine have lol, even after a healthy amount of copper grease before I fitted them.

Might have to get a bit physical & pry them off

Now that does not look to shabby mate, will have to do mine in the week I think. What grade of wire brush do you use?

Had to go digging in the garage to get the details. Draper Expert CB61T

Did it take ages Phil,i suppose once done its just a little autosol to keep on top of it

Didn't take that long. The trick was to go easy and let the tool do the work. I estimate max 20-30 mins per corner.

I didn't get chance to deal with the upkeep as it went to it's new owner before it needed upkeep.

If I was doing it properly (or another way), I might consider someone who could machine and polish a clean face.
