Tiny stone chips
Hi all
My car has a number of tiny stone chips on the bonnet, not much bigger than pin pricks really, but they show up bad on phantom black. What's the best way of dealing with these? Touch up paint and cocktail stick?
Also, I will shortly be using Poorboys Black Hole which among other things claims to fill in scratches and swirls. Will it in any way disguise these tiny stone chips? I'm guessing not....

Re: Tiny stone chips
Funnily enough I just touched my stone chips up, the Audi pain touch up paints have a very good bevelled tip. I used that and a high powered torch to see where I was putting the paint, came out good.
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

Which touch up kit did you use Sonny? I have one of the Halfords ones.

I went to my local Audi dealer, Daytona paint, comes with the lacquer touch up paint too. Think it cost about 8 quid

Sprint blue cant be got in a touch up,well so audi told me,so i went for the spray, spray in the lid and used a cocktail stick.
No polish's will sort stone chips, but autoglm super resin is quite good to sit in the swirls, then a nice wax after

Russ if I were to follow your technique, would S17+ be any good for the polishing back stage??Reflect Russ wrote:depends how far you want to go with it TBH but this thread is my sticky on DW http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/s ... p?t=217520
