'scuse my ignorance but is there a special "foaming lance" I can get that will fit my Karcher jet washer ?
Also... what 's the best product to get to give the engine a good de-grease and general clean ?
(I'm guessing it would be something in a spray-bottle !?
After seeing Sonny's spotless engine yesterday, it made mine look like an old fairground generator.
Cheers

Any foam lance should do, the fitment though is what you need watch out for. This one's pretty good, just select Karcher fitment:

In terms of degreaser, this seems to be the flavour of the moment:

Thanks for the reply Andre.
I have a Karcher K4.600. Which has it's own resevoir for cleaning agents etc.
Have you heard of a lance that "doesn't" have it's own bottle?
Cheers

I'd just use a conventional lance & bottle setup if it were me; in my experience it's easier to control the mix ratio that way.
There's prob a nozzle attachment available if you want to use the inbuilt reservoir.

Karcher have recently introduced a new foam lance with a grey 0.6l bottle and a function where you can vary the flow rate; just bought mine off fleabay for just over £20 which is a fraction of the cost of the Gilmour and others. It being from Karcher will fit your K-Series no problem. The resevoir is naff as the concentration is poor and it can use a litre bottle of detergent in about 2-3 minutes, big waste of money.
As for foam I used to use Bilt Hamber but TBH I never thought it that good at removing dirt at various concentrations. I have just changed to Autobrite Magifoam and it is the dogs danglies. I can foam the car with this (very thick foam and lingers), leave it on for 10 mins, rinse off and a weeks worth of summer fim can be removed using it and not needing to wash.
Worth the money and I have used a dozen or so snow foams over the last couple of year and this is by far the best.
