Hi all :bigwave:

This write-up is long overdue, I think each write-up I do is taking me longer and longer than the details themselves

So, I finally got round to detailing the Evo for its new owner, after selling it last year. We also did some work on his GT-R V-Spec

Was first time I had attempted to do two cars in a day, but thanks to Chris the new owner for the brews and the Bacon Sarnie as well as his input and getting the kids involved with the foaming we got it all completed and even had time to take Chris for a blast in the RS4 Avant that replaced the Evo and hes now added it to his list of must haves next

Last years LSP was Optimum Opti-Seal with OCW and OID to maintain/ top-up. It was also used on the wheels and I am pretty gobsmacked at how clean they came up without needing any wheel cleaners, the OS must have done a pretty damm good of sealing them.

Products and Process in a Nutshell

* Foamed with Nilfisk Power washer and Foam Lance

* Whilst foam was left to dwell, Window/ door rubbers, trim, grills, badges etc were all agitated with detailing brushes using the foam. Sills, arches, tyres, wheels were also agitated using the foam with various detailing brushes and trusty Vikan brushes. Foam was left to dwell for about 20 mins to allow enough time to work its magic, and break down/ dissolve the dirt and grime. The foam although only intended as a pre-wash did a pretty impressive job of the wash itself.

* Cars were then rinsed with the pressure washer and the arches and along the under sills and under bumpers were given a long blast to flush out all the winter crud.

* Decontamination stage was Iron X, Tardis, Clay, then rinse off.

* Both then finally wash and rinsed

* Both given the Jeffs Werkstatt Acryllic treatment with two coats of the Jett Sealant. Prime applied by DA using a Green LC pad.

* Glass polished and sealed using Prime Strong

* Alloys polished and sealed using Prime Strong and Colinite 845 on the GTR. Evo wheels were being refurned so we just cleaned and left.

* Tyres and Black Trim dressed with CarPro 'PERL' ...Great new product I am testing out and seems very versatile and has possbility to replace lots of different products currently using.

Onto LOTS of Pictures :doublesho

No my photo skills haven't miraculously improved they are the owners work for the majority :thumb:

The Evo Paint and Wheels had been sealed with Optimum OptiSeal back in the autum last year as part of its winter protection detail I put on it, prior to selling to to Chris. Although they look in a bad way, most was superficial and as will be seen in the coming shots, offered good protection and came up nicely with minimal effort. Wheels need a refurb after winter.

Opti-Seal protection is really impressive, these were results after just foaming and rinisng, no mitts or other shampoos used to get these results. As was planning to do a full detail we then followed with bucket wash with ONR.

Decontamination stage with IronX doing it stuff and releasing contaminants from both surface and unseen to the eye subsurface. The agent forms a reaction with the agent, bringing to the surface and changing colour on reaction with contaminants and allows to be washed away. This make subsequent traditional claying a lot quicker and more effcient as vast majority of contaminants are removed, still a need to remove tar with a product. Clay is considerably cleaner, lasts longer.

After the decontamination and wash/ rinse steps both were towel dryed, and then onto polishing/ cleaning, dressing and LSP / protection stages.

To save space have omitted some of those steps and pics in the write-up so the ones that follow are all pretty much afters or or pics while these stages carried out.

I understimated just how much effort it would be  I am nearly there though as only want to source the best and supply products that are quality and have tested first hand thoroughly in my own details, and not cheap wholesale tat. Many of the products I have sourced will be recognised as the same as leading brands, many are just private/labelled and I have managed to negotiate a supply under my own label. However there are min order numbers though, which may not meet so will see how it all goes.

So far as a sneak preview I am looking to be able to supply my own brand products and also distribute others brands, Foam Lances, Foam, Hose Sprayers, Pumped Pressure Sprayers, MicroFiber polishing cloths and towels, Clay Bars, All Purpose Cleaners, shampoo, quick detailers, etc etc.

More info this weekend and will post up to guage interest in bulk/ group buy as best discounts can be had for volume orders, min order of about 15 units in some cases,.

Thanks :beerchug:

I am not looking to over-reach though, as keeping it small to just the jap/ audi forums, quality always and not quantity is my motto.
