Valet Pro Trim Glitz or Aerospace 303?
Valet Pro Trim Glitz or Aerospace 303?
Just curious as I have Aerospace 303 and it is good for the engine bay but maybe a little too flat a finish on exterior rubber and plastic. Would Valet Pro be any better?
Re: Valet Pro Trim Glitz or Aerospace 303?
Not an expert nor do I know much about the Valet Pro product, but I'd say stay with 303 for the rubber parts. Excluding dressed tyres, I personally don't like the look of shiny exterior rubber. On exterior plastics maybe a coat of whatever easy-on polish you use (something like a Werkstatt Prime). Should give you good durability, an element of chemical cleaning & the visual punch I think you're looking for.
Unless you're investing heavily in products for each individual cleaning task with something like a Werkstatt Prime you can at least use it for other chores as well.

You can't fault 303 for the engine bay, but thats the extent that I use it. I would also go with andre's advice for werkstatt prime, its all I use on cleaning window rubbers, the chrome/balck window trims and grill trims as its a great chemical cleaner (no abrasives) and leaves behind some protection I also use it on glass and mirrors and superb sealing and beading effect. For Hard plastic such as the honeycomb grills on the front and rear as well as the wiper scuttle area I use VP Trim Glitz on all my details now and for me I have found I like the look and the protection, it is great for reviving tired, gray faded black plastic. You can leave for more gloss or leave and buff off for oem satin look. Take a look my posts for my details and you will see how Trim Glitz looks. An alternative I can recommend to Werkstatt that I use on one stage details that is more akin to SRP and an AIO is AutoBrite Cherry Glaze, much the same same as Werkstatt in that it is trim safe and so wont stain or dry white, chalky and you can wipe across glass, rubbers, trim, body. It is actually really good for use on hard plastic trim such as the black plastic on mirrors or the wipers scuttle. Again you will see that i use it in some of my detail threads.
Witth all that said i have a sample of PERL sent to me by CarPro http://cquartz.com/index.php?option=com ... t&catid=37 Looks very promising and may well knock 303 and other products out of my routine if it works well. Will report back soon when have some findings.
hope that all helps
