Autoglym air conditioning refresher in-a-can

Afternoon all,

Due to my need to have a tidy car, I have thrown away the piece of paper hung from my rear view mirror to tell me the name of the air con refresher used by the dealer to "de-bacteria" my air conditioning.

I am pretty sure it was an Autoglym product they used but cannot find it anywhere on the net; I just get guided to warehouse sites selling similar products.

I am keen to get the Autoglym product (if it exists) as it smelt quite good once I'd got over the initial pong of the stuff. I am referring to the one-use cans left in the car for ten mins with the air con on full blast.

Has anyone else had this used at the end of their car's service and might be able to assist? If not I shall call the dealer tomorrow.

Thanks.

Only just spotted this post.
How did you get on with finding out the name of the product. I used one last year but not the same as you cause i was told to spray it straight in to the pollen filter. I wasn't happy witht the results so it would be usefull to know the name of the product you used.

Afternoon,

I found out the name of the stuff by recognising the label when it was shown to me by the parts department at my local dealer. It's Wynn's car care but they don't seem to have a UK site at the moment, but have a look at http://www.wynns.be/.

The important thing I have gathered is that is is not in a can but more like a cartridge that slots into a machine used by the dealer, so it's not something any of us can use at home. I guess this is where the cost of the air con service comes from!

If anybody can get any more info on this stuff, or has ever seen it in one of those "one use" cans you leave in the passenger footwell for ten minutes with the aircon on full blast, can you let me know.

I might have been armed with more info if my last servicing dealer (who used the stuff) ever called me back, but they were as useless at this as they were servicing my car in the first place.

Thanks.

I can't remember the name of it, but I got a can you sat in the footwell before in H@lfords I think. Worked very well, although it may be due to be done again, which reminds me I might pick one up on the way home ... Think it was made by Comma, but can't be sure.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I popped to my local store today for a can of WD40 and on the way out I saw a box of the aforementioned Comma. It's a 150ml spray to leave in the footwell for ten mins and it's £11.74.
