detailing in the sun !?!

Post by timba » Wed May 21, 2008 10:26 am

HI all

Finally got round to getting some clay and decent wax and was hoping to do it today ! but it's sunny and I don't have any shady area, is it ok to clay the car in direct sunshine or will I have to wait for a shady day

cheers

Al

If the bodywork's too hot, then the lubricant will evaporate too quickly. You can deal with this with a lot of cold water. Run it down the panel until it's nice and cool, then shammy dry. That should help you out. Alas, my hose doesn't reach to where I park my car ...

as long as the car isnt too hot to touch you should be fine. My silver S4 doesnt really absorb the heat, where as by bro's black Z3 was scorching!!
