i spent 3 hours today trying to get rid of the fine scratches on my black rs4 .i didnt do a very good job then it pissed down with rain .the only way to vanish the sratches would be to use a polisher which ive never used before .how was your paint work before and does the paint work look new .

My paint work was reasonably ok, however in the right light there were the deaded swirls!
Iain spent 6 hours on machining alone and 99% of them have gone. fair play it looks as if the car has had a full respray. The paintwork looks relly deep and glossy. I look after my car but would never attempt to machine the paintwork. Best left to the proffessionals.
For a car that is 6 years old the result is superb.
