Paintshield or Venture shield

Post by rs4boy » Mon Apr 07, 2008 7:31 pm

Thinking of renewing my old shielding on my rs4 b5 it has been on for six years and not looking so good now. It was on the car when i got it so don't know which one it is, has anyone had this done to there car lately, if so which one and are you happy with it. And does anyone know someone close to Ashford Middlesex that does it.
Thanks
Jason

It will almost certainly be Armourfend.
They are based north of London somewhere, but will travel. I had it fitted to my RS4 as a group buy with 2 other owners. The guy came out and did all 3 cars in an afternoon at one of the peoples houses (he conveniently had a big garage and drive).

I've recently ordered VentureShield to be fitted to a new bike. Its not done yet, so no idea how good it is. I have heard that Paintshield (or something similar - not sure its the right name) have problems in fulfilling orders in a timely manner. I've been waiting for my ventureshield kit to arrive for 2 weeks...

I would say that the ventureshield looks to be a thinner film than the armourfend.
I guess you pays your money and takes your choice.

Hope that helps.
