Spring clean time! (Detailed)

Woke up today, to be greeted with a bit of sun, (well at least where I live).

So thought why not take advantage and give the car a good clean. Hadn't been cleaned for a while, and looked absolutely awful! Really gutted I didn't take any before pics, but the transformation is incredible!

For all the detailing fanatics out there, rought outline of job done.
- Foam lance whole car, and left to dwell for around 10mins and rinse
- Wash with Megs wash mitt twice and rinse in between
- Wash alloys with seperate wash mitt
- Dry using Aquatouch drying towel
- Whole car waxed with Dodo juice wax (Purple Haze). Some panels done twice. Applied with Megs foam applicator, and removed with Poorboys MF cloth
- Wheels polished/waxed.
- Tyre dressing applied, exhaust tips cleaned, and all other fine details (roof bars, rear plinth, etc)
- Hoover inside, and get rid of all dust!

Pretty impressed with the results, as it was all done by hand this time, with no machine work at all! The Dodo juice wax is pretty amazing. Brings real depth to the paintwork, and a proper wet-look.

All comments welcome. Enjoy!

Looks stunning :nogarors4:

Is the alloy trim above the number plate a factory option? :)

Nope!

Done by my own beautiful hands!

Although if you want to call it a factory option....then you could!

IMO a good replacement/idea for the common rust problems found on these plate plinths

Looks like a job well done! Nice looking Aston!
Ps, you can work your no plate out as you've left each side visable.....

Looks good R33V-Spec nice job well done. Gave mine a nice wash this weekend and a little polish. I also found a circle of outer laquer had removed itself from one of the doors.

quattrokid1; Cheers. That is virtually how mine looked! I just wish I had taken some pics!

kd; yes the spacers make an absolute amazing difference, and really fill out the arches. Plus more importantly, 5 up in the car with baggage. and no rubbing at all! Can't get better than that!

Shows it off better in the 2nd and 4th pictures.

It's got 15mm H&R spacers all round to fill out the arches better!
