Impressive results for the first outing!
Now you'll just become more and more addicted, and more of a detail anorak!

Your right there, this detailing lark is nearly as addicting and the modifying one, or perhaps i just have an addictive personality
Noggy blue seems to be very hard to photograph as the pics above don't really do the finish justice. Will try and get another coat of dodo juice on before the weekend (my god I am addicted

)

Looking good Si.
My car will be looking a little sad next weekend compared. It will be visiting the bodyshop soon for some remedial work though

Yes I can vouch for Noggy blue being hard to photograph.
Aha another Dodo user! Out of curiosity which one are you using, and where do you buy from?
Did you apply it with the PC, or by hand?

I am using the rainforest rub, superb wax and goes on a treat with a foam applicator. Also a little goes a very long way. I purchase all my products from Alex at Elite Car Care. Top service, highly recommended.

Somerset eh?

You need any more practise mate, give me a shout. Nice noggy blue Avant for you to play on.
Looks very nice mate, out of interest how long does it take to do with the PC? I spend half to a full day applying Meguires 3 stage polish to get mine looking even half like that.

PC certainly makes the prcoess quicker.
If you keep on top of it, and then just to maintain it, shouldn't take no longet than an hour to do the full car with a PC.
Not sure if you can apply the Megs 3 stage with the PC though

It took me 2 full days but this was the routine
Rinse car
Wash and towel dry
Clay the whole car
Polish using Menzerna cutting polish - I had lots of paint correction to do (i.e removing fine scatches and swirls)
Apply sealant
Apply wax (1st coat)
Apply wax (2nd coat)
Also had to clean wheels and dress tyres
If your car doesn't have much paint correction then the whole process could be done in a day.
It should just be now a job of maintenance although there are still a few marks I would like to correct when I find the time.
Whereabouts in Somerset are you?

Hi Si, Can you advise which menzerna cutting polish you used and what pad you used on the PC?
Looking at some swirl removal on a nogaro S4 and any advice appreciated.
cheers
Steve
