Wax and sealants

Some people say sealant goes closest to the paintwork, and wax on top.
Some say the other way around.
What's the advice, and more importantly, why?
More information: I'm using Zymol wax and I will be using a synthetic sealant - I'm trying to get the best of both worlds.
So, do I clay, seal, wax, or clay, wax, seal, and why should I go your way? What do professionals do, and how long does it last? If I'm applying a second wax layer, does this change the order?
