Hi,
my A8 has lost its deep blue paint on the boot. First I thought it was oxydation due to the sun, but it looks like some leaves have leaked some acid.
So, I tried many things like a color liquid polish or glossing products. Then, a pro did a real polish which has almost erased the oxydation, but the paint was also thinner, and after a month, the problem was there again.
A few days ago, I bought the meguiars NXT wax (after I have seen the magnificent results on the forum!) and I put some on my S4. Wow, the car has never been that much shiny and it's like new!
Then I asked myself if that could help me with the A8, and I put some on it too, and the oxydation has disappeared at, let's say, 80% !
As I know, its better to let the wax get "dry" before cleaning it, I'll let it act on the car during the night.
Everytime I put the wax on the boot, it's a little bit better,
I'll take some shots when I will have time.

RE: Audi A8 blue with boot paint problem
Hi mate sounds to me as though it is oxidation. The best product i can suggest is Klasse All in One. Its a deep paint cleanser and its brilliant for oxidised paint. Give it a go, ucan get it from motorgeek.co.uk and top it with a Klasse sealent and the results will make u smile for weeks.

Thanks for the advice. The product from Meguiars seem to help a lot, I will see if I need Klasse All in One and what you told me in the PM,
Regards and happy new year

Another good product is Autoglym Super Resin Polish. Give it two or three goes with this and then finish off with the Extra Gloss Protection (EGP).
The results will speak for themselves. A little tip if you go down this route...leave the EGP on as long as you can, overnight in the garage if possible. Apply it thinly though and it will seal the paintwork for ages

Yep agree the super resin polish is one of the most underated products in the detailing game, mainly i think because it has been widely available in halfords for so long it does not seem that exclusive. The Klasse in my opinion though would be better at removing oxidised paint.
