Came across this interesting article about some thing as basic as car washing that opened my eyes to how it should be done:

So was wondering if this would make an interesting group buy?

I use a lambswool mitt. Seriosuly, really simplifies and improves washing the car, your hand follows the contours and you don't miss bits when you go over the side repeaters etc for example. Easier, better, quicker washes. Not for me, but recommended.

Found a lambswool one in Halfords. Looks like that one apart from it is dark grey. Careful as they do a non-lambs wool one too.

I'm here chaps, Thanks Simon.

TBH not really doing much of the Megs stuff anymore as there is only about 2% in every item, also with every box you order from Megs UK there is always one leaking item that needs to be replaced. Finally the PO are very very good at loosing items, or making the non leaking items leak. I have decided to stick to moody Cisco instead.

Anyway I still have an account with Megs, my cost on a box of Lambswool mitts is £33.15 + VAT, plus the delivery.
There are six mitts in a box. This makes them about £8.00 per unit. A massive saving of £1.99 each.

I used to give all RS246 users a 10% discount making a massive profit for me of 99p, then add the royal mail loosing 1 delivery in 5. Richard branson should not be worried.

Anyway, as I said if you want me to order a box, let me know.

Landed price to you would be about £9.50 including P&P. Or you could nip down to Halfords and get one for £9.99

Hi Tomson

Suggest we see what the interest is over a few days and then you could look at it again, although I can't see the point of a Group Buy with next to no profit for you though? Maybe we could drum up some interest among the various groups, would that be acceptable to Forum Moderators?

As I say I don't really deal with Megs much anymore, however, I do have an account would be silly not to use it

Aren't you going to the Castle Combe meet next month Tomson? Is it too late to set up a group buy before then and members visiting the meet can distribute the items??

Yes I am, problem would be that we would need to make sure there was enough interest to order boxes of product. Have asked Megs to send through another price list, as I binned the last one
