Without being able to use water to rinse the surface dirt off the car, I cannot see how by wiping this product on you will not prevent further micro scratches and swirls on the bodywork.

Definately not for me .... sorry.

I don't think there is any substitute for water!

Heavy soiling, mud, grit etc...I think I've read on one of the the few sites advertising "waterless" products that such debris should be hosed off first - kind of defeats the object?

Also read that the "waterless gel" (which is composed mostly of water!) should be applied in a "circular motion with gentle pressure" Sounds an ideal recipe for swirls?

I can understand the interest in alternative cleaning methods in areas affected by hose pipe bans, I think I'd stick with a bucket of the good 'ol fashioned stuff tho'...perhaps I'm just cynical!

Dave

Sounds like the sort of product you see on the top floor at the Ideal Home Show or out the back somewhere at the Motor Show. Can't beat a good old hose/pressure washer/bucket/sponge and water (depending on where yuou live)
