Does Refurb add value?

Have a set of 4 OEM 19" RS6 5-spoke alloys that I am going to put on ebay... the question is, if I spend £300 on Pristine Wheels refurbing them to get rid of the nicks and scrapes, do you reckon that it will add more than £300 to the selling price!? or do you reckon that I would lose out??

Does anyone have any experience of this??

I'm not sure you'll get that back as I think people tend to accept that second hand = not perfect.

Steve,

I'll have a word with you at the rolling road day about your alloys as I've been thinking about getting a pair of oem's to replace 2 of my own that have been kerbed (by the previous owner) and not all that well refurbed. The repair isn't noticeable from a distance but it annoys me none the less everytime I'm up close washing them (a bit like the scratch that some low life grunt decided to enhance my wing mirror casing with  ). I was also thinking of stashing 1 of them away in the garage in case of a puncture - a can of foam doesn't really fill me with confidence.

What are alloys have you got on now out of interest. I spoke to my local dealership about getting a couple but they were wanting serious dosh for oem replacements. Ebay seems to have loads of RS6 style alloys on but all seem to be replicas rather than real oem's.

Rich.

Cheers all :beerchug: Appears that the concensus then is not to bother, and leave it to the decision of the buyer instead. Have had a few PM's already which I did'nt expect (RS666 claimed first dibs), need to decide a "fair" price :?:, will get some photo's together tomorrow hopefully.
