Wheel refurbishing

Post by fade2grey » Sun Mar 19, 2006 7:54 pm

I want to get my wheels refurbished as they are looking a little tired, can anyone recommend anywhere in the northeast (I'm in Durham)? How much is it these days? Last time I had some done was a good few years ago & worked out about 35 quid a corner.

Cheers,
A

Sorry, dont know anywhere in the Northeast, but you're looking at between £30 and £50 a corner, depending on how badly scuffed/kerbed they are.

Pristine wheels in Woburn sands near milton keynes did the rims on my renault spider. Not the cheapest, but the finish is perfect and they even turned a polished lip on to the edge of the rim. Think it was 65 a corner (none had any curbs) and they collect the wheels from your house and deliver them back for that as well with a 1 week turn around.Very good!

yep IIRC. They collected from my house in south manchester same day as i called. Also they can refurb in different colours and do all sorts, really are very good. Make sure you take your tyres off the rims before you send them tho, cause they do charge a bit for this (and extra for P+P IIRC).
have a look

cheers guys :)

Any more suggestions of places 'up north' - I really don't want my car standing on bricks in the middle of the street while the wheels are away.
