Bonnet lacquer defect

My polar silver RS2 has a 3cm diameter area on the bonnet were the lacquer is missing. The underlying paint is OK.
Short of painting the whole bonnet is there anything that can be done ?
The overall finish on the car remains excellent even at 10 years old altough I suspect the bonnet has been resprayed at some stage

try one of the chips-away people. They should be able to sort it out without having to repaint the whole thing.
