The , yes dealer, told me I should only use Audi washer fluid in the screen/lamp washers as other types can result in sediment that blocks the jets and blows off the hose ends !
True ??
Bushy I can just guess your one word comment

Very true that some washer fluid is thick and can block the jets
I think the rain X washer fluid is off this sort, however the normal methyl thype stuff from halfords is so pissy that it wont block your jets
just becareful which one you use
Common sense really
And Meguiars do not do one so that sets the record straight

It is true that non vag washer fluid causes blockages, it took me ages to clear mine the other week, they were full of sediment.

I have these pics after a previous discussion on the TT forum. They might help ensure you buy the right one.
p.s. I tried Skoda and VW dealers and the price was the same as Audi.

maybe it has something to do with mixing different makes of sceenwash that react against each other.i have also seen hard deposits in my bottle.
just out of interest do all audi dealers charge for sreenwash on a service even if the bottle is full.

Ive just been putting meths in with the water as stated in our hand books. No probs so far and does a great jobbie.
Can't remember the percentage about 20 or 30 I think.
