Worn leather

Post by Chrisb25 » Mon Jul 27, 2015 7:56 pm

Do you guys and girls have any products or experts you could recommend to bring back the black in my leather?

I've just got the car and the leather has gone like an orange brown colour, like something does when it's come in contact with bleach, but bleach has not been anywhere near it!

Dyes/polishes could sort it out perhaps? I don't have photos as it's currently being serviced along with discs and pads all round.

Rather odd?

Sounds like a very inappropriate cleaning agent has been used on the leather, this has then reacted with the original dye.

So I can just dye the sh1t out of it? Yeah I know it seems odd it looks like it's been bleached by the sun, or bleach and its very very slippery. My missus keeps complaining that's she's sliding about all over the Shop round corners...

You cant just dye these seats as they have a coating of protection on...theres a process before a dye is added...mine getting done next sat by a specialist cant wait..

Sand first
Then dye
Then lacquer
