Polish out or Paint repair

Post by Iain_S4 » Sun Apr 05, 2015 12:53 pm

What are peoples thoughts on this, can it be machine polished out with sufficient paint thickness left or is it a paint repair. If possible to polish out I assume that would be preferable or is there something that I'm missing.
It will be getting paid for by a third party so I want what is best. Just over 2 weeks old when this happened :FIREdevil:

Can you feel it? Can you get your finger nail in? If so not likely to polish flat.

If you can get it polished, do so. You do not want to be into paint, matching hassle and the rest of it.

That looks like its gone through to the metal, as mentioned before. If you can feel it, then it wont machine polish out and will require paint.

A decent bodyshop will be fine getting a colour match on Sepang Blue.
