Hi All!
I just shared this on another thread, so thought i'd start a new one.

If you perform your own oil changes, i can highly recommend the "QuickValve"
.
It replaces the sump plug, and never needs to come off. (although they recommend changing the gasket every ten years!!!)

You attach a tube to the nipple, and the other end in your chosen receptacle, and flip the switch!
Close it when empty, and attach the holding clip (optional), before refilling!
I liked it so much i now have them on both bikes and all 3 cars!
Ingenious idea! and for under £25 it is a no-brainer imho!
CHeck them out! and watch the video on the homepage. Customer service was also exemplary when i needed to contact them for a classic car of mine!

NB: I am not affiliated to this company so cannot take any responsibility for any experiences differing from my own.

Wouldn't like that spring/clip to fail whilst motoring down the M6 .Looks susceptable to corrosion IMO and what is it made from..galvanic table and all that stuff

I doubt the clip can fail!
and even if it did, the lever is failsafed also, with a X AND Y-axis movement in series!
A valid concern, nonetheless!

They are made of Forged Brass and Stainless steel.

They are quite stiff to turn even without the spring action.

The issue is that with all my cars (bar one) they have undertrays that need to be removed (or similar) to access the sump plug. So time saving is negligible however definitely less messy.
