Hi All,
I am taking delivery of my newly ordered S6 in March and the dealer is after me paying for some kind of paint protection. My question is this, is it worth it or should I go to a detailer and pay for them to treat the paint?
Cheers.

Not worth it at all, tell them to pay for something worthwhile instead, like a full tank of fuel. You should see how sloppily the dealer valeters apply it, too. The less time your car spends in the dealer valet bay the better. The fact that most these paint protection companies supply an aftercare kit with a sponge, and chammy leather just further proves they know feck all about paint protection. Get it to a detailer.

Plus 1. What he said.
Dealer wash is Brillo and gravel filled chamois.

Get your detailer to show up at Audi before they rip the plastic off. He'll seal it on-site before Audi can brillopad it. Russ, a site
Sponsor on here, offers this as a service.

Spoken to Russ and due to distance it may not be practical so looking for a local detailer in the North East - anyone know of one?
