What he said.

Did you see his thread earlier where they detailed his RS5? Take a look, not too far from you.

You could always go on Detailing World and have a look who's around there but for 25 mins drive then Drayke Fields have got to be worth a look. It also depends if you have cover yourself, you could have someone come to you. There is a sponser on here who travels so fire a pm at him.
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

You could get me to travel or try Scott at Beau Technique, one of only a few people i would trust to do my own cars. If i had something worth working on that is.

Bit of a journey isn't it? It takes me an hour and 30 to get to my brother in Barnsley.

Seriously, why mess about.
Just take it up the road to Drayke Fields.
They have a courtesy car you can have so just leave your car with them. Its a full secure modern unit self containt. Attention to detail is second to none and your car will be like brand new when you pick it up.

Mate of mine has just started doing detailing, he has all the kit and his car has been in Meguairs stand at various shows. He uses all the paint meters and has all proper kit, and will be cheaper than those suggested I would have thought. Worth having a chat to him anyway, let me know if u want his number.

At the risk of sounding a little brash but having "all the gear", "probably cheaper than those suggested" and "his car has been in Meguairs stand at various shows" are all too common these days.

Those suggested have built reputations purely because they are good at what they do, they value their worth, they are INSURED and have experience to deal with any issues that WILL arise because its not all a bed of roses this detailing lark.

Not sure what experience Drayke Fields has but I know it goes back a good few years, Scott at Beau Technique has around 20 years and myself almost 30 years.

Doing this for beer money isnt really an option for THOSE SUGGESTED, it pays our bills and puts food on the table, keeps our kids in shoes and clothing and if we can take time off to actually go for a pint then its hard earned money.

PhilT said to me when i did his RS4 RS6 and GTR that.

"Detailing is easy money when you dont know what you are doing, but hard earned money when you do"

I know people with paint gauges and various lights and machines that have no idea what to do with any of it yet they will gladly take someones money for a day, fill all imperfections with a glaze and heavy filler based products and the owner thinks he has had a good outcome, until a couple of weeks later when he sees buffer trail, scratches that were supposed to have been removed and all manner of defects that come through once the glaze has wore off, some that weren't there before as well, and all this from a supposed professional, so again sorry if this sounds a bit brash and egotistical but this is someones pride and joy you have recommended to send to someone who has no reputation.

Now i am a paid sponsor on here and i have no issues with people recommended others but please make sure its someone reputable.

Good point well put russ.

Mine looks mint now thanks, the wipe over finishing glaze that I bought really finishes off a good clean.

I would recommend you to anyone, and have done on several occasions.

Jay.

Well it's an option and he is good, hes also very honest and i dont think you'd have problem. I would let him do my car if detailing was my cup of tea, that's all I can say.
