Actually, now I come to think of it..
Is there such a thing as a "car wash" club? has anyone ever tried it? I lose motivation at this sort of thing about, oooh, I dunno, say 30 mins? doing it in the company of like minded people with nice cars, sharing products (we should practice "safe" sharing) seems like a good idea to me!
Drive home will probably knacker it, but wtf eh!
My arms have dropped off . . .
Re: My arms have dropped off . . .
LOL... What can I say - I love cleaning this car!
Your shopping list should consist of something like the following:
1) 2 buckets
2) A decent wash mitt
3) Some cheap detailing brushes
4) Some decent car shampoo (Meguiars is nice and smells great)
5) Bug remover like AF Citrus - there are loads of others...
6) Snow foam and foam lance if you can get one... this is the most fun part of the whole process - suddenly its Christmas all over your car!
7) Thick n fluffy drying towels - using a shammy leather is so 1970's!
8 ) Microfibres - B&Q sell about 4 for £3/4ish
9) Polish - make sure its hand applicable and not just for a machine.
10) Some wax
11) Catering box of tea bags...
I left out the more specialist stuff like clay and Bilberry juice as its an acquired taste but I think its great... gets rid of brake dust really well. Have a nose over at http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/index.php if you want to learn more about this stuff...

Re: My arms have dropped off . . .
Tyre dressing would've finished it off nicely, but otherwise a real head turner
(how do you insert a quote ?)
OK, rushed out today and bought my first tyre dressing spray (from Proper Job !).
And also cleaned all of the glasswork - just couldn't shift smears until NEWSPAPER - tried it and it worked like a charm.
Grief - must get the thing lowered 20mm ....
