Now I know you lot are all GJOB's like myself so I thought I'd let you know that I today gave the other half's car (a particularly difficult to get looking 100% metallic blue) a good going over with Meguiar's gear.
I finished off with their "Gold Class" wax and I have to say the results are absolutely stunning!
Unfortunately it rained 0.5 nanoseconds after I'd finished and therefore I didn't get a chance to take any pics but I just thought I'd let you know (if you didn't already) how excellent the stuff is
I'll be doing the porker with it when I get time I can assure you

Re: Meguiar's
Well done Bushy!
Top stuff
Just finished a full wash and the three stage treatment to the whole car.
What can I say? I'm knackered after 7 hours , but the car hasn't looked in better shape. Better than it came out of the showroom
First impressions:
Mitt of myrth - it holds so much water that I used two bucket full of wash. The other side got rid of the bugs in no time.
Drying towel - I started off cursing the damn thing until I found out how much water you can actually wring out of it. Worked a treat after that with no smears at all.
Deep crystal three stage clean/polish/wax - apply with foam applicator, rub off with terry towel, turn over terry towel and buff, finish off with ultimate wipe. Very easy.
I thought I was going to have problems because although I buffed with a clean towel, it wasn't until I used the ultimate wipe that it came up as shiny as..... something shiny!
I noticed the stage 3 wax was yellowish in colour as I poured it, then suddenly, this smell of bananas wafted over.
Tyre gel smells nice too
Thanks Steve, the car looks great . I just need to find a camera now

Re: Meguiar's
Hi Paul
I have just read your reply to this thread
I have a Noggy Blue S4 and I am about to clean it today.
I have some scratch's that I would like to get rid off.
What wax would you recommend? Is there some kind of colour magic one that would match Nogaro Blue?
What other products would you recommend?
Are these available at random car shops? i.e Halfords?
Cheers
Rob

Re: Meguiar's
I think Halfords refused the deal with Meguiars
the minor scratches you have, do they penetrate the surface of the paint? Can you see the lighter coloured primer, if so nothing but a respray will get rid of it
However if they are just small surface scratches Scratch X should remove them
