Alloy Wheel Refurbishment

Post by Mik » Sat Dec 13, 2003 4:53 pm

Managed to kerb my front left wheel pretty badly in an NCP Car park yesterday.....

Anyone know a good and reasonably priced alloy wheel refurbishment shop near Sutton, Surrey?
Thanks!

RSR send them off to be fixed - about £50 a go. They have done a good job for me in the past. I used the Redhill branch.
I'm pretty sure there is an RSR down the bottom of Sutton High Street opposite the old Eagle Star building.

Mik,

I know of a mobile wheel refurbisher who lives near Sutton.
He does a superb job for a respectable price. Definitely worth a call anyway.

I'll get his contact details and post them up.

FYI he does most of his work for the local garages refurbing wheels on s/h cars they are going to put on their forecourts.

Right, details are: 07966 400395

Tell him you got his contact details via Guy with the R32 & Corrado (my mate, who is one of his drinking buddies).

Cheers,
John.

'Wicked Wheels' came to my house and did a cracking job on all four for £45.00 per corner.

Just had a MTM one done, the repair is good but the paint match is crap, not even the same colour, the guy wanted £90, we settled at £65, but personally wouldnt recommend them.

The BMW boys recommend the following repairers:

Pristine Wheels (NB three month warranty only though and colour match very close - M3 alloys are extremely hard to match)

or
BJV Engineering

Wicked Wheels can do a good job too but apparently the results can be inconsistent.

Ouch, hope the cr@p burger was worth it - you could've had a meal in the Ritz (no, I said Ritz, not Riz) for the cost of the wheel refurb.
