Mequires Clay Bars

Been trying to remove a few tiny blemishes on my bonnet with this and having no luck at all.
Any advice? I'm following the instructions to the letter but nothing?

What is ther blemish ? Have found with my Megs Clay Bar it's pretty good at taking off tar spots and the like...

I've got a couple of tiny splashes of emulsion on the bonnet and they won't shift. I must be doing something wrong...

Iv heard that the Megs CB can be brittle, I have some but not used, I purchased the Sonis CB, no problems, have you tried soaking the area first, however with the emulsion it may obviously not come off, have you tried to use your finger nail lol

Yeah it picks off and emulsion is water based so I've been told hot water should do it??

Which meg clay bar are you using? if its one of the kits from halfords type with the spray lube included they are extremely mild versions!

for something like what you are up against I would give a more agressive clay bar a try like poor boys / blackfire or even the more aggressive versions offered by Meg (but its expensive!)

Normally with an agressive clay bar you have to be wary of maring the paint but you should be ok on a VAG as the paint is known to be very hard.

You could also try something like Autosmart Tardis tar and glue remover to soften it up first, but make sure you wash it all off before using a clay bar as it melts the clay bar into bits!
