Detailing - Is it worth it?

Post by PhilT » Fri Jul 11, 2008 8:58 pm

That's a question I have asked myself for many years.... After all I know how to use a sponge and polish!!

Well time is precious, the RS4 had some paint spots on it from my neighbour's fence painting, and the RS6 just needed some TLC. All I can say is that it's not something I would have done too regularly, but probably a yearly/6 month job well worth having done. The biggest improvement is the feel of the paint.

Here are some pics of the 6 (Weather did not permit ot get ones of the 4). The second pic is a little plug for Swiss Tony.

Looking good Phil. Definitely worth doing once/twice a year. Avus is not an easy colour to get a good deep shine on, but yours looks great.

Looks good Phil. Still not the fastest colour, even if it is clean...

Thanks Guys. I gave the 6 a follow-up clean the other day. Finished it off with a Meguiar's Stage 3 polish and Rain X.
