mikeyquattro's rs4

Post by JayPlay » Fri Jun 13, 2008 11:35 pm

This belongs to RS.246.com very own member Mike (mikeyquattro). Must say very nice laid back chap

This was done over 2 full days and the 7 year old paint laughed at pretty much every combo I tried and each panel required a few hits which then still left a some remaining RDS.

No before pic's but it was very clean apart from the wheels.

Process was

WASH
-pre soak with a citrus degreaser
-washed with Megs shampoo plus and ***** sponge
-clayed with sonus green

WHEELS AND ARCHES
-tyres and arches cleaned with Megs Super degreaser
-wheels cleaned with P21S wheel gel and tardis
-wheels protected with Zaino AIO and CS
-tyres treated with 2 coats of Zaino Z16 Perfect Tire Gloss
-arches treated with 303

POLISHING
-Megs cutting pad and FCP. All tight areas and bumper's done with a 4in pad
-Megs finishing pad and Menz 85rd

PROTECTION
-3 layers of Z2 and a wipe down with z8

I took loads of pics of the defects but I didnt capture them to well but here is a few that came out half decent.

This is how pretty much the whole car was covered
