Used zymol clay for the first time

Post by b7sedan » Tue Nov 06, 2007 9:29 am

What an incredible difference it makes. I washed the car, used the clay with zymol clay lube, polished with zymol (blue stuff) and then waxed with zymol. The clay is really weird as it just feels wrong rubbing it on paint but the effects are great in that the end shine seems far deeper, plus it also makes the polishing and waxing easier as the surface is better prepared. My Ultimate detailing machine arrived from the states yesterday so Im going to have a go with that at the weekend.

Clay makes a real difference alright, one of the few products that actually amazes people. The UDM will have you hooked if you need to remove swirl marks. Im sure youve visited detailingworld.co.uk before, theres stacks of guides on there and what are suitable compounds for paint restoration.

Personally i found Meguiars #83 and #82 excellent. Menzerna IP and poorboys ssr2.5 were also very good on meguiars cutting and polishing pads. keep us posted on the before/afters...

cheers
