Cleaning Recaro Seats (my Recaros have been tangoed!!!!)

Post by saf » Wed Oct 03, 2007 6:39 pm

Ive got the S4 2000 Recaro seats. Problem is, Tango decided to fall (closed can) on to the floor and then knock itself into part of the metal seat assembly causing the can to explode.

Not nice as you can imagine.

Luckily, only some of the tango stained the leather. Just where you plant your RS. About 6 cm x 2 cm on. Looks a bit orangy.

Whats the best way to clean the leather / refurb it?

Id like to take some cracks out of the leather too, if its possible.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Also Ive notice that these seats have begun to creak a lot when car is in motion. Any way to sort this?

Gliptone mate is the best stuff. I believe jac-in-a-box has done a great write up which is a sticky in this section. Gliptone is the best stuff though
