New Jaguar F-Type

Post by Maximo » Tue Feb 05, 2013 10:02 am

Yes I know rule 1 is must on this but some else may have seem them also. A417 just south of Gloucester about 8:30 this morning. Three F-Type rag tops, all left and drive and with delivery plates only.

They do look very nice and sounded great. If I could have got my phone out of my pocket in time......

I'm going to one of the launches on Friday in London

This was a serious contender for us (before I bought the Porsche) but having seen the prices they are top money with decent spec.

Apparently the chief designer originates from my home town. I had to double check what I spied this in early January. Eventually found it in one of the car parks.

My friend has been ragging it around the Gaydon test track, sliding it an all sorts, I think he said the 3.0 was underpowered but the 5.0 was great or something. I want his job.

What he said, probably just felt it coming out of the 5.0. They had them on the autobahn too but the limiter was set to 120mph as they were pre production models. I told him I did that in an A1 (I think... speedo was in km/h).

Sorry to hijack, but i saw an Aston 1-77 in Coventry the other day, wow they are mean and big.
Would love to see an F-type in the flesh, hopefully be around Warwick or Cov today.

Oh my a One-77, pluck your eyeballs out and place in a safe place. Those are rare on the road... kinda pricey too - £1.2M, anyone... hello?

OK, starting to get a little bored now as I'm now seeing them everyday. You have to wonder why they aren't being moved around on a transporter.

I see quite a few each morning. Seen two today, a silver one without plates or trade plates!
And this on the way to work today.

Spotted 3 in convoy travelling on the A40 between Oxford and Cheltenham Wednesday morning, all camouflaged with trade plates...
