Many moons ago I had a 930. White with white painted alloys bloody great black whale tail, black patches up the front of the rear wheelarches. Utterly standard with (I think) 330 hp, and yes also a nasty bastard in the wet.

Mate, the only way you are going to compromise that for the road is fit a TC system

Have you heard of Colin Belton, the "Ninemeister"? New forum up and running http://www.9mracing.co.uk/Forum/

Actually I have two.....the missus won't let me drive quick enough for the factory one to ever be used when she's in the car ;-)

Yes mate I've heard of Colin, doing good stuff on 964's at the moment, although my preference working on hybrid 930's would have to be Bob Watson (Engineering). Our mate Bob has a lot of OEM 935 experience, and now with Motec.......wow - just the man :D

Dave, when you get that car kicking our some good hp, you will not be able to stop the tc kicking in.

3rd and 4th are quite a hairy experience when you see the light flashing whilst accelerating in a straight line.

You could try http://www.racelogic.co.uk/traction/adjust.htm for a TC system - allegedly very adjustable and not too intrusive if set up correctly - helps if you've got ABS (which I doubt), as it can use these sensors to detect wheelslip. You can always turn it off for track work ;-)

Reckon having 'Mother' with me in the RS made me go a bit soft you know (not so soft that I'll be swapping spit with any of you in the shower btw  ) - all that power, but all that control also.

Having the non-power steering, no ABS, no TC, rwd will make it hairy, but the Quaiffe diff allegedly makes a whole lot of difference in terms of predictability on the limit. It will hopefully improve my driving no end, having to concentrate more, knowing I could fall off any minute. In a way it's back to basics
