Number Plate "S3"

On a Toyota Land Cruiser thingy crossing the Forth Road Bridge....number plate worth more than the car I think..

This is confusing as ive seen the reg "S3" on a S3 a few years back.

Everytime I go Into my dealers they have a 'S3' reg on most of thier stock of S3's, suppose it looks better than a 7/8 digit number plate and thick people know whay they're looking at.
