Newbury Audi - good service

Plenty of dealer complaint posts so thought I'd post a positive one for once!

My RS4 dumped most of its oil on my drive last Thursday - the common oil cooler corrosion issue had obviously caused a major failure!
A call to my nearest dealer (Newbury - 20 miles away) and a call to Audi assist, and now, four working days later, my car's back at home, fixed and cleaned. And the bill was less than expected as well as they'd managed to get some goodwill discount. I had a Q3 for a couple of days as well, courtesy of Audi assist.

Have to say I couldn't fault Newbury Audi. I had an equally good service experience with them a few months ago as well. Something's changed in recent years as previously I'd have described them as "adequate" at best! So credit where it's due.

Chris

I can recommend the sales team at Newbury too, good bunch to deal with. A generally friendly dealership, you can't say that for them all. Sometimes you can feel the eyes burning!

The Q3 wasn't bad at all. Went quite well (2.0 TDi I think). It had a full leather interior but some of the non-leather bits were a bit low-rent compared to the higher-end Audis. I had decent space inside for what is the smallest SUV, though. All in all I'd say it'd be a good all-round vehicle. I'd certainly consider one if I was in the market for a small SUV.

It had the advanced automatic parking system which I played with for a bit on our drive. It's spooky to see the steering wheel moving on its own! I think it would take a while to get to trust it, though!

Ive had a mixed experience with Newbury over the years but again they made an error on my car recently and to their credit fixed it and went out of their way to get me back on board afterwards. I had a top end new A6 as a courtesy car for over 6 weeks and they gave me a v good price for some major repairs that were needed so Ill be back after that.
