Urgent views before I buy!

Hi all

I'm looking at 2 RS6's, one is a late 2008 the other an April 2009.

I have understood that the way to check if they are 3G MMI is if they have a raised joystick on the control wheel:

Neither of these cars do - so I assumed they were both 2G. However

a) I can't see any for sale anywhere that do have it
b) The dealer of the 2009 car insists it's 3G
c) The other car is HDD sat Nav, which I thought was a 3G giveaway?
