Warranty - any to recommend / avoid?

Hi,

Hopefully about to join world of RS6 ownership but seen from a lot of the posts that a warranty is a good idea! The two that I've seen around are

Warranty Direct (www.warrantydirect.co.uk/), who quoted me £780 for an '04 RS6

and

Warranty Wise (www.warrantywise.co.uk), who quoted me £1400 for similar vehicle.

Both seem to boast a lot about how their products "do what they say on the tin" - does anyone have any experience of claiming on either, or any other companies you would recommend?

Any advice much appreciated.

Chris

Do not get a WD policy. Biggest farce in the world. Says you can take your car to your trusted garage of your choice but that's only so WD can turn the quote down and insist it's repaired in one of their chop shops. Read it in their fine print, it's the last entry. I've had a ballache on my claim and it's continuing to worsen, 6 weeks and counting and still without a sign-off.

Hi,

Im an owner of a 07 S3. Im currently with warranty direct but have had a better quote through a company called Car Protect. Ive never heard of them before. Can anybody give me some steer as to what they are like and whether its worth my while going with them instead of WD???

Any advice would be appreciated.

Do not go for Warranty Management services They are <beep>

Only cover labour rates up to £40 per hour and limit of £1000.

Recently the Xenon headlights flickered and failed on me at night stopped car switched lights off and back on and worked fine. ( Brown Trouser moment).

I took car in to be checked, to audi, to find out the control units and bulbs were faulty and needed replacing according to a technical update.

:piss: Warranty management services refused claim saying they do not replace parts that have an intermittent fault :ban: . To replace parts £1080
