sticking throttle control

Post by Graham » Mon Aug 23, 2010 9:41 pm

my rs4 2007 has a sticking throttle which causes it to 'over rev' and there is also a slight mis fire until the engine has warmed up from cold and the 7000 rpm limit is not displayed. I am told it needs a new throttle control unit which costs over £1000 ?

My car which has covered 35,000 miles also needs a new power sterring unit as it has slight vibration and the oil cooler is misting up which I told also needs replacing which will cost a further £2,500.

As the car is 6 weeks past the end of the warranty and therefore not covered for free rpelacment by Audi

Any comments welcome.
