Do the Warrantys differ from place to place i.e. Audi dealerships from around the country?

Having this discussion on the RS6 forum (c5). I have just been offered £480 from Warranty Direct. Up to £7,500 in a claim, audi dealer rates and 90% parts as my car is 60k miles. They have also taken account of my Bilstein PSS9 suspensions, Milltek exhaust, re-map and Hotchkis ARBs.

when you say Warranty Direct have "taken account of" did you just declare some modifications before taking it out? Did you have to describe the mods in any more detail than you've listed above? Did they want to check them in any way? Did you get the impression they new what all the mods were and their implications? And finally, did the price change after advising them of the mods? :D

I have an 2003 RS6 .Just agreed to an on going Warranty (pay a monthly direct debit indefinateley) from Warranty Direct. They sent out an independant engineer to check the car over. He was very thorough.

Check out the RS6 forum this has been discussed at some length.

I went for Warranty Direct Luxury cover at £480.00 For 12 Months plus an extra £30 to Cover the Cats and to allow the use of non Audi parts for repairs.

This is much better than an Audi warranty IMO as when the DRC fails again I can rip it out and replace with Coilovers plus if there are problems with the cats I should be able to replace that with a miltek system.

I made them put this in writing so am just waiting to see what happens when I have to put a claim in

I took this out before my Audi warranty expired and there was no mention of any inspection.

I should add that My RS6 Avant has no mods and that it had less than 30,000 miles on it.

As my car is 3 years old and has existing warranty, looks like it will cost GBP 1,220, this is for Option 2 (12 months or 15k wof). bit expensive but as for piece of mind I would most def go for this option!

I notice the rate is at 17.5% still, wonder when they will drop it to 15%!
