Standard / Options on A3?

Post by TWH » Wed Mar 26, 2008 12:31 pm

Slightly strange question I know, but does anyone know if a CD changer was standard fit on the A3 1.8 SE (MY2001)? We're part-ex(ing) the missus' A3 at the moment, and of course not getting a massive amount form the dealer for it, so I was going to retrieve the CD changer to sell either here or on fleebay.

I can't work out if the A3 came with only a concert radio/cassette as standard, and the changer was an option, or if it only came with a cassette player when the cd changer was specified?

Or will the dealer not in fact care if there is a cd changer in there or not?

Any advice much appreciated :)

Not dealt with P/X with Audi dealers before, but I've yet to do it with any dealer that have actually checked if an autochanger has been there or not, and I've px'd cars loads of times in the past.

Yeah, I think I'll probably sell the changer - my bet is they'll only send the A3 to auction anyway!

The changer was a £400 option across the range in 2002, so would have been similar in 2001.

I still have an electronic copy of the price list for that year which list standard and optional kit - PM me your e-mail if you need a copy.
