I think the bit about RS4 be turning into the must have item is true. Work in Chelsea and saw 3 new RS4's in the same fuel station on the kings road this morning. 2 saloons and one convertible.

Must admit, the car I have noticed on the motorways and roads with the worst and most inconsiderate drivers is the new A6.

I'd like to think their previous cars were BMW's and being a tosser behind the wheel is a learned behaviour that they will overcome in time, however I suspect that some of these drivers have simply become tossers the moment they've taken delivery.

I've had 2 BMW's before the Audi. Maybe it's all true

I didn't (the BMW that is). I wanted something to carry the family in, something to have a bit of fun in, turbo charged, 4wd and most importantly NOT a Scoob/Evo (as they attract boyracers like flies to cack - I don't fancy racing everytime especially with the little daughter in the car).
Audi it had to be, understated, potential for more power, reliable - though technically I have replaced more parts on this car than any other I have owned LOL.

I think that definitely BMW drivers have migrated to Audi recently - the amount of new-ish A4/A6 I see that drive like utter knobs is unbelievable. Most of them don't even seem to realise you're driving an RS (which is no surprise really!).

Geez, all the reasons for buying Audi's and then finnally the RS just went out the window with that article.
Still I like the fact noone knows what an RS is, especially here in Australia. Most people dont even know where Audi come from. Spain and Bosnia where a few comments.

I think too many people take to much notice of what Clarkson has to say, just remember he had a Ford GT that never actually made a round trip!!! All cars have a small minority of tossers driving them even Audi (maybe not Volvo!!) And i for one am not an estate / IT / consultant etc!

Just last week I saw some of the worst driving in a long time on the M3 by a Black A4 cab so bad i really couldn't believe it. But that doesn't cheapen the brand and it will take many many years for Audi to get the stigma that BM's have.

Is an RS4 more flashy than an M3, not in my book, my avant is just an Audi estate with big wheels! More than 75% of people don't even know that its anything special other than a nice Audi.

Cars will always be about choice, individual choice, that's why there are so many different models etc.

Clarkson really!! The worst dressed man on tv slating Audi, I personally would steer clear of any car he bought!!!!

Sorry Rant over!!!

To be fair to JC, he did once say that the new M3 would have to "come with a free moon" to be better than the B7 RS4, and has separately described the RS4 as "magnificent". He's pretty keen on the R8 too, although not quite so enamoured of the S6.
