Ok, first off this is nothing to do with my insurance on the RS4 - but my partner's Mini.

Renewal due tomorrow, so we called this morning to advise that we've just superchipped the Mini (adds about 8bhp to 110bhp...wow!) and to tell them about my 3 points. Anyway, they want to load the policy and charge an extra £87!! They were obstinate and refused to budge despite talking to people further up the chain. When I told them to cancel the policy with effect from tomorrow they couldn't give a stuff! I told them it'd only take 30 minutes to sort out alternative insurance via the web and they didn't bother - so Churchill can no longer say "Ohh Yes", more like..***&^%$$£"!!"

Anyway - 15 minutes later all sorted out via Elephant with no loading whatsover for the remap or my points. I've used Elephant in the past on the RS4 and now also use them on my Golf.

Result....Churchill nil, Elephant Won.

Sorry, got that off my chest, rant over.

Thanks for the tip Mikeyquattro - I'm up for renewal (with Elephant) so I'll try Admiral!

Yup, I had the same issue last year as well. I'd been with Elephant for about 4 years and they always agreed to match prices from their website which was cheaper than their renewal premium (can't blame them for trying) but wouldn't budge this year for some bizarre reason.

I told them that I'd just be buying with Admiral anyway so they might as well just match it and get the sale, but someone was obviously on target for their sales and didn't fancy another one to their tally. Makes no difference to me, I go where the cheapest price is available. Bell is also part of the Admiral group as well and tends to be aimed at younger drivers.
